Bhanjanagar,26।9(Nilu Bisoyi):Arati Gouda, wife of Ranjan Gouda of Tadama village, known as a remote village under Baibali Panchayat of Bhanjanagar Block in Ganjam district, gave birth to a baby girl at her home today. Arati was pregnant and had been asked to come to a shelter. However, they did not come as the doctor had given a date a few more days later for the delivery. This morning when she went into labour, her family members informed the authorities.After that, to rescue the pregnant Arati, BDO Bharati Devi, other block officials, CDPO Milima Kumari Panda, ambulance staff, and fire brigade personnel went towards the spot.While Tadama village is on the other side of the river, the fire brigade teams of Bhanjanagar and Belaguntha tried to reach the village with the help of a boat by throwing a rope to the other side of the river but failed. The boat could not move as there were big stones in the river and water was flowing at a very high speed.Finally, while the fire brigade was trying to go, the boat overturned in the strong current of water. As a result, fearing danger, the rescue operation was stopped.
